Scheels in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Maintenance Associate responsible for building, repairing, and installing fixtures, cabinetry, and other store equipment. You will also inspect rides and attractions and coordinate with outside service teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a 2-year college or 1-2 years related maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and install fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, windows, doors, and partitions.
• Identify safety issues on the sales floor and store.
• Assist with floor moves, displays, and other retail floor duties.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of amusement rides, attractions, and simulators.
• Coordinate with outside service vendors for equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and tools; be a good teammate.
• Maintain the physical ability to perform maintenance tasks.
• Work independently and solve problems.
