Job summary

Deckorators Buffalo manufacturing operation is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who keeps the facility safe, functional, clean, and ready for daily use by coworkers.

The role covers preventative maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry/painting, snow removal, and coordinating with contractors. It requires reliability, safety-mindedness, and the ability to handle diverse tasks across the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years in general/facilities maintenance preferred.
• Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Able to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot facility issues.
• Able to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Willing to perform snow and ice removal in winter.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building and grounds.
• Complete basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
• Inspect facilities to identify safety concerns before issues grow.
• Respond to repair requests and prioritize using safety and operations needs.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance and snow/ice removal as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials and PPE.
