Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services, has a full-time Maintenance Mechanic II vacancy in Littleton. Qualifications

• 2 years of education and/or experience after high school in relevant trades.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain CAC.
• Overtime in support of snow removal operations is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance to keep facilities in safe working order; duties include changing light bulbs, fixtures, and replacing worn parts.
• Repairs and maintains structural components; installs hardware, repairs masonry and masonry related tasks, and paints interior/exterior surfaces.
• Performs landscaping duties including lawn care and maintenance of grounds and facilities.
• Performs custodial tasks and assists with moving items and preparing rooms for meetings.
• Performs snow removal and operation of snow equipment; oversees safety during winter conditions.
• Orders and receives maintenance parts and ensures tools and vehicles are in operating condition.
• Completes routine maintenance and minor repairs.
