Job summary

Unrivaled Teamwear in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance associates across Lenexa and Pharr facilities. You will direct daily maintenance activities, manage safety programs, and ensure reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires five years in a maintenance-management position, CMMS expertise, and a trades certification. You will oversee budget, coordinate with contractors, drive equipment upgrades, and maintain compliance

Qualifications

  • Five years’ experience in a maintenance management role.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Experience with CMMS and PLC programming.
  • Certification or proven history in electrical, welding, HVAC, or industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction, guidance, and oversight of maintenance associates and projects.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, including annual performance reviews.
  • Manage and maintain the CMMS for all production and facility equipment.
  • Oversee and provide technical support for repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Research, recommend, and implement equipment upgrades and new technology to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors, manage service agreements, and review/approve related invoices.
  • Purchase parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance and facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead and maintain compliance programs for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E Arc Flash training.
  • Provide technical support to remote locations as needed.
  • Support and promote the company’s safety culture through training, coaching, and daily engagement.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget; monitor spending, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee building systems such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Lead maintenance‑related emergency response efforts and develop contingency plans to quickly restore operations following equipment failure or facility issues.
  • Support company environmental initiatives; ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local environmental standards where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and metrics. Use data to drive decision‑making and identify recurring issues.

Qualifications
  • Five years’ previous experience in management role in Maintenance required.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess moderate PC skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, CMMS programs, PLC programs, (auto CAD is a plus)
  • A Certification or proven history in one of the trades, electrical, welding, HVAC, and industrial maintenance are required.
Physical Demands
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to distinguish colors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
