Job summary

U-Haul in Webster, Texas is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to support maintenance across centers within the region. You will use hand and power tools, assist with installations, repairs and general upkeep.

A valid driver’s license is required; you will participate in safety protocols and complete work requests promptly. High school diploma or equivalent required; opportunity to grow within U-Haul.

Primary responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/ power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
• Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Education/Training

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
