The Facilities Maintenance Engineer facilitates repairs and daily maintenance operations of the physical facility by performing general maintenance. Monitors Building Automation Systems (BAS) to maintain building functions. Troubleshoots, repairs, and/or coordinates repairs of all building-related systems.
This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, supporting various Twin Cities Orthopedics locations.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Receives work order requests for facilities maintenance from employees, tenants, customers, or visitors.
- Ensures timely work completion, triages requests to prioritize critical repairs.
- Collaborates effectively with the Facilities and Construction team for efficient outcomes.
- Manages relationships with external vendors, ensuring service level and compliance adherence.
- Inspects and performs preventative maintenance or repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, generator, fire, and safety systems.
- Monitors and adjusts building automation systems to maintain parameters.
- Performs daily maintenance on HVAC, chillers, fire/life/safety, and mechanical equipment.
- Performs plumbing maintenance, diagnoses issues, and records work performed.
- Maintains accurate records of building systems and changes.
- Assists with office/furniture moves, electrical projects, painting, light construction, and exterior cleanup.
- Contributes to new building design and equipment selection.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for AAAHC accreditation and other certifications.
- On-call for evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis; schedule may be flexible.
- Participates in community outreach events as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Building Maintenance program with HVAC training preferred.
- Experience with Johnson Controls building automation system required.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
