Job summary

Tier1usa in Austin, TX is seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of our building and equipment. The role includes light carpentry, painting, electrical work, and HVAC tasks to keep all systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• General building and equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
• Maintain in-house facilities operations
• Light carpentry, painting, electrical repairs and modifications
• HVAC and refrigeration systems must be operational
• Keep department logs up to date
• Order parts via databases and paperwork
• Be available to work during inclement weather

Job description

CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

Principal Responsibilities

• General building and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
• Responsible for in-house maintenance of facilities
• Light carpentry, painting, electrical repairs and modifications
• Responsible for HVAC: heating, ventilation, air conditioning
• Ensure all refrigerated units are operational at all times
• Ensure all department Logs are properly maintained
• Ordering of parts via data bases and other administrative paperwork related to the position
• Availability to work during inclement weather, including but not limited to, snow removal.
• Miscellaneous maintenance duties deemed necessary by management

Education and Experience

• 1 years experience in facility maintenance
• 1 certification (not licenses) in a work related areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, boilers, welding and/or carpentry preferred
• Safe work record, practice safe work habits, following Standard Operating Procedures
• Flexibility - able to react to changing priorities
• Must be able to work in small spaces and climb ladders'
• At least one weekend day availability (Saturday or Sunday)
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and random drug screening (including Marijuana)
