This role requires hands-on skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have boiler expertise, strong maintenance experience, physical stamina, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Boilers experience and license or ability to obtain within one year.
• Proven experience in commercial facility maintenance.
• Proficient in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration/ice machines.
• Inspect facility equipment and systems to identify and address issues proactively.
• Operate and maintain boilers in compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
• Assist in carpentry projects, including repairs, installations, and renovations.

Job Description:

LSG Sky Chefs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Operator/Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial facility maintenance and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration/ice machine systems.
• Conduct inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify and address issues proactively.
• Operate and maintain boilers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
• Assist in carpentry projects, including repairs, installations, and renovations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure facility operations run smoothly.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Must have Boilers experience and valid Boilers License or ability to obtain within one year.
• Proven experience in commercial facility maintenance.
• Proficient in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; knowledge of refrigeration is a plus.
• Must own a set of basic tools required for maintenance tasks (required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
