Job summary

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is seeking a 2nd Shift Facility Janitor for the Camarillo, CA location. The position offers an hourly rate of $18.00 - $19.00 plus a $0.75 shift differential and a training period up to 2 weeks from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Work schedule is 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with a training schedule to start earlier in the day. Company benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k with company match, Tuition Assistance, and PTO.

• Six (6) months or more related experience
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Service, cleaning, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Empty all recycling containers and place material in proper location
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Dust furniture, walls and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables and chairs to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
