Job summary

Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a dedicated janitor for a full-time, non-exempt position on the 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm), Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for cleaning bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas, maintaining cleaning equipment, and assisting with event setup and teardown.

The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work independently with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Be a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Operate basic tools.
• Operate floor machines, hydraulic lifts, and other facility equipment.
• Handle, lift, push and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
• Have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of bathrooms, hallways, offices, etc.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment
• Completing minor repairs and building maintenance
• Assisting with event set-up, tear down and clean up
• Mopping, vacuuming, and moving furniture

Job description

This is a non-exempt, 40 hour/week position. We are looking for a candidate to work 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00 - 10:30 pm

Duties for our Janitor position include but are not limited to:
