Job summary

Quapaw Nation Facilities Authority seeks an HVAC-R Technician in Quapaw, OK to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across all facilities.

This is a day shift, full-time position offering responsibilities to diagnose, repair, calibrate and test equipment while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and internal standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with building codes.
• Maintain major mechanical and electrical components.
• Keep stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment.
• Assemble pipes and ducts for refrigerants and air.
• Overhaul pumps, compressors, controls, and ducts.
• Calibrate thermostats.
• Repair refrigeration unit systems.
• Inspect and test systems for plans/specs compliance.
• Adhere to Purchasing, HR and compliance guidelines.
• Communicate with departmental managers.
• Attend training and staff meetings; assist on projects.
• Meet attendance and policy guidelines.
• Duties may change; hours via 24-hour schedule.
• All other duties as assigned.
