Job summary

Mercy Float Pool is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate care across Med Surg, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Cardiac Neuro, PCU and Critical Care areas.

The RN must hold an Arkansas RN license, BLS, and obtain ACLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire. BSN is preferred and 2+ years ICU/critical care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Float to clinical areas as needed: Med Surg, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Cardiac Neuro, PCU, Critical Care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
• Serve as a resource to unit staff by sharing skills, clinical knowledge, and best practices
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient needs, and unit requirements

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. The RN evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. This position upholds patient rights, maintains confidentiality, and performs all duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Position Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Arkansas RN license
• BLS certification (must be current)

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 2+ years of critical care experience
