Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facility Engineering Manager to lead planning and execution across commercial and government facilities. You will manage a high-volume portfolio, drive safety, quality, and financial performance, and serve as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders.

The role includes overseeing 20–40 simultaneous projects, mentoring junior staff, and expanding customer relationships while ensuring compliant, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience.
• 10+ years of experience with a HS Diploma.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent small–mid sized construction projects, 20–40.
• Expert customer communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk in occupied facilities.
• Supervisory experience, managing employee performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closeout.
• Create cost estimates and project proposals using industry rates.
• Create project schedules and track progress with MS Project or similar.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, procurement activities, and site access.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide financial reporting.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage safety, schedule, cost, and operational risks.
• Ensure work is completed safely, per contract requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain ownership of projects across all stages of the lifecycle.
