Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in building intelligence, is seeking a Facility Engineering Manager in the Washington, DC area to lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects within commercial and government facilities.

You will manage 20-40 small to mid-sized projects, coordinate vendors and internal teams, ensure safety and quality, monitor costs, and drive program growth while maintaining strong customer relationships. A bachelor’s degree and extensive experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in facilities/project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closeout, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and documentation.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and routine project reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, procurement activities, and site access requirements to maintain schedule and quality.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and provide regular financial reporting and forecasts.
• Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks related to safety, schedule, cost, and operational impacts.
• Ensure work is completed safely, in compliance with contract requirements, and to defined quality standards.
• Create cost estimates and project proposals utilizing GSA scheduled rates.
• Create project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools. Track and report progress.
• Maintain ownership and awareness of all projects and tasks in your portfolio across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Implement processes and tools to ensure an efficient flow from project initiation through closeout.
