Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Facility Engineering leader to supervise a staff of maintenance technicians across retail stores and facilities. You will oversee preventive maintenance, energy management, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience, HVAC/refrigeration expertise, and strong budgeting and reporting skills; on-site leadership is expected to drive reliability and efficiency across locations.

Qualifications

• Supervisory and management experience in a maintenance organization.
• HVAC/refrigeration maintenance expertise and safety training.
• Strong communication, mentoring and budget awareness.
• EPA Type 2 Certification and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach staff; conduct performance reviews and feedback.
• Manage budgets, service levels, and repair effectiveness.
• Ensure EPA regulations for refrigerants are followed.
• Oversee building systems: mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life safety.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance contracts and energy saving initiatives.
• Provide reports on budgets, service levels and refrigerant usage.
