Job summary

Last Energy seeks a full-time Facility Engineer serving as the engineering system owner of the PWR-5 reactor facility. Responsible for configuration, maintenance, and change control to ensure DOE compliance and safe operation.

The role acts as the bridge between engineering and operations, maintains the Master Equipment List, and sustains a comprehensive maintenance program for all facility systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering relevant to facility engineering.
• 10+ years in operations engineering, plant engineering, or similar in regulated environments.
• Experience with DOE, NRC, or equivalent regulatory frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single technical owner of the PWR-5 facility configuration and keep an up-to-date record of systems, structures and components.
• Build, own, and maintain the Master Equipment List (MEL) for the PWR-5 facility with version control.
• Develop and manage a maintenance management plan covering preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Evaluate, document, and justify changes to configuration, ensuring proper review and approval.
• Act as primary liaison between engineering and operations to align docs and operations.
• Support DOE compliance related to configuration management, change control, and documentation.
• Conduct walkdowns and reviews to resolve as-built vs design discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on modifications and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a running log of configuration changes, actions, and maintenance history.
