Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley seeks a janitorial/housekeeping employee to maintain cleanliness of the facility and grounds, sanitize bathrooms, empty trash daily, and report needs to a supervisor. The role reports to the Program Manager and schedule may change with program needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in janitorial work; HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; minimum two years janitorial/housekeeping experience.
• Ability to comply with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with clients, staff, and outside contacts.
• Maintain confidentiality per policies.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Keep internal structure clean and surrounding areas presentable.
• Empty trash cans daily.
• Properly discard trash and keep dumpster area sanitary.
• Sanitize trash cans and change liners as needed.
• Clean, deodorize and sanitize bathrooms daily.
• Report maintenance and supply needs to supervisor.
• Clean windows and doors as required.
• Sweep, mop, dust mop floors; strip, buff and finish floors as needed.
• Keep walkways free of snow and debris; ensure stairs/doorways are clear.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
