Job summary

Covenant House is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain clean, sanitary environments across our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, disposing of waste, operating cleaning equipment, and light maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and fluent English are required; rotating shifts and weekends may be needed. Preference given to candidates with 6 months of cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts.
• Demonstrates basic cleaning-related skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, and restock areas as assigned.
• Dust surfaces, remove trash, and maintain storage areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use PPE; assist with laundry as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and report discrepancies to management.
