Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial Worker to keep our facility clean and safe for clients, staff and volunteers.

You will perform daily cleaning of offices, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas; handle minor repairs and room preparations for new clients; assist with deliveries and moving furniture; clear snow; and respond to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating on-call basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience providing maintenance/custodial services in a business or social service environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas daily.
• Repairs and prepares rooms for new clients; ensures furnishings, linen, and supplies.
• Completes repairs and submits work orders to Operations Manager.
• Unloads and stores deliveries; moves furniture and equipment as needed.
• Removes garbage daily; handles curbside pickup.
• Cleans and mops floors; prepares floors for stripping and waxing.
• Performs minor plumbing, electrical, plastering, and painting duties.
• Clears sidewalks and entrances of snow; spreads ice melt.
• Maintains tools and equipment; reports safety observations.
• Assists Operations Manager in corrective action plans; documents repairs.
• Responds to emergency maintenance calls; on-call rotating basis.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
