Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a Facilities Custodian (Porter) in East New York, Brooklyn. The role focuses on daily cleaning tasks to keep the facility safe and welcoming for clients and staff.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with an hourly rate of $22.15 and a 35-hour workweek, resulting in an annualized salary of about $40,314. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Formación

• At least 6 months of custodial or related experience.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures, methods and equipment.
• Experience with floor care including vinyl finishes.
• Knowledge of SDS and chemical safety.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a clean and orderly environment across the facility.
• Perform floor care: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, spot-cleaning with floor machines.
• Identify cleaning needs to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
• Disinfect bathrooms and high-touch surfaces per hygiene protocols.
• Remove trash and debris; assist with snow clearing as needed.
• Use cleaning equipment properly and maintain it in good condition.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear protective gear.
