City of Bellingham is seeking a Custodial Maintenance Worker I or II to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming City buildings for employees and the community. The role involves cleaning public restrooms, floors, and spaces, operating cleaning equipment, and reporting maintenance needs.

It offers step increases and a comprehensive benefits package. Successful candidates will have janitorial experience, a valid WA driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings.

Formación

• One year of janitorial experience preferred.
• Three years of paid janitorial experience with carpet cleaning, floor waxing, chemical handling and biohazard cleanup.
• Janitorial training course may substitute for six months of experience.
• Valid Washington driver’s license and a three-year driving abstract required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform custodial duties for commercial buildings, including cleaning public restrooms and locker rooms.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment and move heavy items as needed.
• Report equipment or facility repair needs and assist with minor maintenance.
