Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. seeks facilities assessors/inspectors to support a large DoD-wide condition assessment program. Candidates should have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, shell/roofing, structural, and interior components and be prepared for extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Good mathematical aptitude required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel 50% or more.
• Position requires a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Demonstrated experience or formal training in building/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Perform assessments to determine physical condition and conformance with specs and codes.
• Utilize facility condition assessment software; training in SMS is provided if needed.
• Document equipment using tablets and justify condition assessments.
• Work under supervision and follow standard practices.
• Inspect large complexes and climb ladders to evaluate building systems.
