The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a dynamic Part-Time Clerical Associate III to support district health centers as Clerical Support.

The role includes preparing daily facility reports, coordinating with the Facility Manager, assisting with inspections, managing parking assignments, handling voter registration outreach, and facilitating meetings and community inquiries.

Qualifications

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 keystrokes per minute.
  • Openness to a citywide assignment with possible site changes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare draft daily facility reports for the Facility Manager and ensure corrective actions.
  • Liaise with the Facility Manager and assist in walkthroughs for facility inspections at Tremont and Morrisania Centers.
  • Monitor voter registration forms and public distribution; assist with parking space assignments.
  • Respond to complaints and represent the Facility Manager in planning meetings with staff and community groups.
  • Assist with safety and health training for custodial staff and provide outreach to communities.

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), a recognized leader and innovator in public health and mental hygiene services, seeks a dynamic Part-Time Clerical Associate III to serve as Clerical Support for our District Health Centers.

Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To
  • This is a citywide assignment. Work location can be changed based on the need of the agency.
  • The Clerical staff - Prepares draft daily facility reports for Facility Manager, and ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Liaison with Facility Manager and assist in walkthroughs for facility inspections at both Morrisania and Tremont District Health Centers
  • Monitoring Voter registration forms & Public Distribution
  • Works with the custodial team to ensure equipment is maintained and adequate supplies are on site
  • Oversee and assist with assigning parking spaces to employees in Tremont & Morrisania Parking lot -Oversee, follow-up and submit Facility Service Requests
  • Respond to complaints on behalf of the Facility Manager to ensure satisfaction of program staff and patients
  • Assist in Safety & Health training for Custodial Staff.
  • Tremont Health Center is designated as one of these sites for Neighborhood Health. Action Centers - Facilitating complaints received from the surrounding communities as they pertain to the district health centers.
  • Coordinated program needs in the Neighborhood Action Centers in Tremont & Morrisania District Health Centers
  • Provide outreach information to Community Groups and visitors to the building
  • Assist the Facility Manager with meeting planner schedule internal and external meetings for the Program staff and Community Groups at both Morrisania and Tremont HC
  • Respond to questions from the community and direct calls to appropriate programs
  • Assist with the distribution and tracking of voter registration forms/ at Morrisania & Tremont Action Centers
  • Represent the Facility Manager at monthly planning meeting with the Program staff; ensure that service request and correspondence flow freely between Program staff and Operations staff
  • Update all reports monthly and annually including Standard Operating Procedures Emergency Evacuation Plans Operations Contact
  • List for District Health Centers -Work with Facility Manager regarding renovations, and space allotment in the facilities

Minimum Qualifications

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

Skills Requirement
