Job summary

BCFS Environmental Services Technician position aims to keep the facility and exterior areas clean, safe, and sanitary while supporting infection prevention and staff safety. Responsibilities include cleaning, basic maintenance, and coordinating with vendors to manage waste and repairs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years in related roles, and preferred OSHA training plus Spanish language ability to enhance service delivery across diverse communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; OSHA/Safety training preferred.
• Certification or training related to environmental services or workplace safety preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of building maintenance, custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect interior and exterior common areas per protocols.
• Perform routine cleaning, floor care, and basic maintenance of facilities.
• Identify facility concerns and report repairs or safety hazards promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors for document shredding, electronic waste disposal and waste management.
