Job summary

BCFS Health & Human Services in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility and exterior areas. Qualifications

• Required High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification or training related to environmental services, custodial maintenance, building trades, OSHA standards, or workplace safety.
• Required minimum of 2 years of building maintenance, custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, facilities support, or related experience.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, nonprofit, office, residential, or community service environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect interior and exterior common areas per protocols.
• Perform routine cleaning of offices, conference rooms, hallways, entrances, break areas, restrooms, and other spaces.
• Perform routine floor care incl. vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and basic maintenance of flooring.
• Maintain exterior walkways, entrances, and surrounding grounds.
• Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks.
• Identify facility concerns and submit work orders; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Monitor waste disposal, recycling, and hazardous materials per policies.
• Maintain inventory of environmental supplies and restock as needed.
• Move furniture and assist with setup for events and activities.
