Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks an on-site Custodian to perform cleaning and basic maintenance across assigned properties. You will inspect areas, report discrepancies to the Supervisor, and ensure the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior spaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior custodial experience is preferred. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, with benefits and a hourly pay rate of $18.00-$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires effective written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning/maintenance tasks (sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, light bulb replacement, window cleaning).
• Inform Supervisor of needed supplies and report safety concerns.
• Maintain cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Complete daily work orders and ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Clean restrooms and replenish dispensers; empty trash and sanitize surfaces.
• Adhere to security procedures and safety precautions; interact professionally with building staff.
