Job summary

Major League Baseball seeks a General Cleaner to maintain Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) buildings, facilities, and equipment in Vero Beach, FL. The role covers interior spaces with occasional exterior duties and a focus on high guest service levels.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, furnishings, bathrooms, walls, and common areas; stocking supplies; and assisting with housekeeping and laundry as needed. Background check is required.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of housekeeping experience strongly preferred but not required.
• One (1) year of general cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to about 30 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors: dry mop, wet mop, sweep, disinfect, vacuum, and spot clean carpeting and rugs.
• Clean furnishings and fixtures including dusting, spot cleaning or washing, disinfecting, and polishing; clean ledges, shelves, vents, etc.
• Straighten furniture and inspect for wear and defects.
• Empty, clean, and relines waste baskets; empty and clean ashtrays.
• Clean bathrooms: disinfect fixtures, floors, walls; wash windows and mirrors; replenish supplies.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, ceilings; wash and disinfect between washings; clean ceiling fixtures.
• Clean stairways, entrances, and exits.
• Clean all employee work areas including offices, break rooms, bathrooms, and meeting rooms.
• Stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms and carts.
• Report damages, maintenance or safety hazards to management.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
