Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to maintain cleanliness across assigned facilities. You will perform high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and routine grounds upkeep, ensuring a safe, neat environment for guests and staff.

Attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and strong customer service are essential. Training provided; standard cleaning supplies and equipment used daily.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dust surfaces above shoulder height using a high duster around the room.
• Sanitize and spot clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning in specified order and refill supplies as needed.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming, including under furniture, with attention to edges.
• Grounds care and outdoor cleanings several times daily (ash urns, sidewalks, benches).
• Public common areas cleaning; check glass, planters and cobwebs; two weekly high dusting of window areas.
• Food court cleaning: sanitize tables, remove trash, wash trays, and tidy eating areas.
• Floor sanitizing with germicidal solution; mop behind doors as you back out.
• Inspect room and correct issues to prevent complaints.
• Customer relations: knock before entering, be courteous, report issues to supervisor.
