Job summary

DFI SkyChefs in Dallas, TX seeks a Facility Cleaner to maintain sanitation in accordance with USDA/FDA/HACCP policies. You will dust, clean, mop, and sanitize administrative areas, cafeteria, restrooms, and common spaces, while handling trash and following safety procedures.

This role requires standing for 8+ hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and safely operating cleaning equipment in a 24/7 environment, including nights and weekends as shifts bid.

Qualifications

• Must follow sanitation standards in line with policy and regulations.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely and follow MSDS guidance.
• Physical stamina for extended standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation of administrative areas, cafeteria, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Clean floors, walls, equipment, and other work areas; remove trash.
• Stand, bend, lift and move for 8+ hour shifts; use ladders as needed.
• Operate power washing and foaming equipment when required.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Compensation $18.00/hour

Description

Must maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations. Responsible for the dusting, cleaning and sanitation of administrative areas, cafeteria, restrooms, common areas, work areas, floors, walls, equipment, sweeping, mopping, behind and under areas, removal of trash within and outside of the facility. Regularly stand, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours unassisted.

Qualifications

• Must have good organizational skills and adapt to frequent changes
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Must be able to work around chemicals and follow the prescribed use of chemicals in a safe manner
• Must be able to apply safety and sanitation standardsMust be able to read, write and understand warning labels (MDS sheets)
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs or push up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors
• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
• Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment
• Must be able to walk / stoop / bend / twist / reach / squat / stand / reach / grasp / crouch for entire work shift
• Must be able to use power wash and foaming machines
• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays subject to change due to shift bidding
• Must be able to perform any additional duties as assigned
