Job summary

The Carpenter at Lutheran Health Network constructs, repairs, and installs building frameworks and fixtures within hospital facilities, following blueprints, codes, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include framing walls, drywall, and finishing surfaces; performing minor masonry and roofing as needed; and collaborating with other trades to complete renovations while maintaining clean, organized work areas and on-call support for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical carpentry training is required.
• 1–3 years of carpentry experience is required.
• Healthcare or hospital maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, installs, and maintains walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, furniture, and cabinetry.
• Interprets blueprints and work orders to plan tasks and estimate materials.
• Frames walls, installs drywall, repairs plaster and drywall damage, and finishes surfaces.
• Performs minor masonry, roofing, or flooring work as needed for carpentry projects.
• Ensures compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and infection prevention protocols.
• Collaborates with other trades to complete renovation and maintenance projects.
• Maintains a safe, organized work environment and secures tools and materials.
• Assists in emergency facility repairs and on-call support as required.
