Job summary

Waters of Rockport is seeking a Transportation/Facility Bus Driver to transport residents and staff to appointments and activities while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The driver will complete daily mileage logs, maintain the vehicle’s condition, and coordinate with the social worker for outside trips as part of a dedicated care team.

Responsibilities include operating the facility bus/van, recording trips, attending mandatory meetings, and adhering to traffic laws.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (No DUI convictions in the past 10 years).
• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification preferred; CNA experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents and staff to designated areas as scheduled.
• Maintain safety and oversee passenger seating and behavior.
• Attend mandatory meetings and report to the Administrator/Maintenance Director.
• Complete daily mileage logs and keep them updated.
• Coordinate with social worker/designee for outside appointments.
• Maintain the bus/van’s mechanical condition and appearance; complete daily checklists.
• Ensure compliance with speed limits and road signs; report safety violations.
• Record trips and mileage; file monthly logs.
