Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living is seeking an attentive Driver/Transporter to provide timely transportation for residents within a 100-air-mile radius and within state lines. The role requires a valid license, a clean driving record, and weekend availability, with a focus on safety and resident care.

You will assist residents with walkers, operate vehicle lifts if applicable, and maintain daily vehicle inspections and logs. Cross-training and a team-oriented approach are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with passenger endorsement where applicable.
• Must be 21 years of age to drive a Non-CDL Class C vehicle.
• Operate community van and other vehicles safely at all times.
• Transport residents to destinations on time and in an orderly fashion.
• Must pass Sunshine and state regulatory clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Vehicle Safety Policy.
• Drive the van to destinations within 100 air miles and state lines.
• Assist residents with walkers and groceries and secure walkers during motion.
• Operate vehicle lift hydraulically and manually if applicable.
• Schedule destinations as directed by Management Team.
• Be accessible during working hours via communications tools.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection and required logs per DOT and state regulations.
• Cross-train in other duties as needed by supervision.
