Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Facility Based Crisis Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care at our crisis center. This PRN/regular role involves assessments, medication oversight, and treatment planning for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and substance use challenges.

Active LPN licensure in the employed state is required; 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• Two years’ experience working with behavioral health clients is preferred.
• Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and evidence-based treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration.
• Report client social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated.
• Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Follow policies to meet regulatory requirements and quality improvement goals.
• Supervise, train and support staff; participate in hiring decisions and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with drivers when transporting clients if required.

This position relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision and direction to provide quality services to crisis facility clients. This position requires an LPN.Two years’ experience working with behavioral health clients is preferred. MSN preferred.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforming Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicatedImplementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirementsImplementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement, attending applicable meetings as necessaryUsing state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessarySupervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problemsRequirementActive and current LPN Licensure in state of employment2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferredWorking knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methodsValid driver’s license and automotive insurance requiredPre-employment screening:Complete criminal backgroundName checked in the registries.
