Responsibilities

• Performing nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.
• Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated.
• Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements.
• Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement; attend applicable meetings as necessary.
• Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

• Active and current LPN licensure in state of employment.
• 2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred.
• Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence-based treatment and preventative methods.
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required.

• Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
• Drug testing.
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required).
• Positions that require driving require proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
