Job summary

Facilities Performance Group is seeking a Facility Attendant to perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and related tasks at the Simpsonville facility. Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance requests, grounds upkeep, and basic setup or mounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license, and pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening.
• Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, operating cleaning equipment, and following instructions.
• Previous janitorial work experience is a plus.

• Maintain grounds including snow/ice removal, mowing, trimming, weed spraying, and more.
• Wall mounting and assembling office items as needed.
• Effectively use Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, calendar, and emails.
• Conduct building rounds and report maintenance issues or deficiencies.
• Forklift operation is standard for delivering materials; must have a forklift license or be willing to train.
• Follow health and safety rules and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned, such as delivering mail and escorting vendors.

Position Description

Under limited supervision, the Facility Attendant performs minor maintenance duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities to ensure that their assigned facilities are in good operating condition.

Examples of Work

• Schedule and complete maintenance requests
• Maintenance of grounds, which may include snow/ice removal, mowing, trimming, weed spraying, and more
• Wall mounting – hanging pictures, bulletin boards, displays, name plates or other similar items; assembling bookcases, carts, file cabinets, and other office type items as needed (does not include mounting or hanging of equipment)
• Able to effectively use Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, calendar, and emails
• Conduct building rounds and report any maintenance issues or deficiencies that need repairs
• Forklift operation is standard for delivering materials; the attendant must possess a valid forklift operator safety trained license or be willing to acquire training
• Follow health/safety rules and precautions
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned, such as delivering mail and escorting vendors

Qualifications and Requirements

Knowledge of safe and sanitary work practices when cleaning facilities and using cleaning chemicals.

Ability to perform duties that may involve standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, operating commercial cleaning equipment, and following instructions.

Applicants must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license, and be required to pass a background check and drug and alcohol screening. Previous experience in janitorial work is a plus.

Other / Special Note: Position requires bending, moving, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting to 50 lbs., working from ladders or other heights, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
