Job summary

Facilities Performance Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a Facility Attendant to perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance to keep facilities in good operating condition. Under limited supervision, you will schedule maintenance, care for grounds, and assist with basic installations and moving tasks.

Ideal candidates are 18+, possess a valid driver's license, and are willing to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a valid Driver License.
• Background check and drug/alcohol screening required.
• Previous janitorial experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete maintenance requests.
• Maintenance of grounds, snow/ice removal, mowing, trimming, weed spraying.
• Wall mounting items and assembling office furniture as needed.
• Use Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and emails.
• Conduct building rounds and report deficiencies or repair needs.
• Forklift operation; possess or be willing to obtain training.
• Follow health/safety rules and adhere to company policies.
• Deliver mail and escort vendors as assigned.

Position Description:

Under limited supervision, the Facility Attendant performs minor maintenance duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities to ensure that their assigned facilities are in good operating condition.

Examples of Work:

• Schedule and complete maintenance requests
• Maintenance of grounds, which may include snow/ice removal, mowing, trimming, weed spraying, etc.
• Wall Mounting-hanging pictures, bulletin boards, displays, name plates or other similar items. Assembling bookcases, carts, file cabinets and other office type items as needed. Does not include the mounting or hanging of equipment.
• Able to effectively use Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, calendar and emails.
• Conducts Building rounds and reporting any maintenance issues of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Forklift operation is standard in the delivering of materials; the attendant shall possess a valid forklift operator safety trained license or be willing to acquire through training.
• Follows health/safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned such as delivering mail and escorting vendors.

Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:Safe and sanitary work practices when cleaning facilities and using cleaning chemicals.

Ability to:To perform above duties which may involve standing, bending, and kneeling for periods of time; climbing stairs.

Ability to follow instructions; operate commercial cleaning equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years old, have a valid Driver License, and will also be required to pass a background check and submit to drug and alcohol screening. Previous experience in janitorial is a plus.

Other/Special Note:Position requires bending/moving/carrying/pushing/pulling; lifting to 50 lbs., working from ladders or other heights, standing for long periods of time, and working in confined spaces.
