Job summary

Conejo Recreation & Park District is seeking a part-time custodian to perform routine facility cleaning and assist rental groups with set-up and break-down in Thousand Oaks, CA.

The role requires strong customer service, clear English communication, basic math, and the ability to follow safety guidelines. You will open and secure facilities, help with events, and report maintenance needs.

Note: all recreation staff must obtain fingerprint-based background clearance before starting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 250 hours of customer service or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons and potential participants in person or by phone.
• Assist permit groups with set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs and equipment.
• Open and unlock facilities or close and secure facilities as scheduled.
• Complete facility condition forms after permit group use and incident reports.
• Notify management of major repairs or additions.
• Operate athletic field lights for sports groups.
• Sell and scan admission tickets for events.
