The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work orders while maintaining safety standards and local codes.

Qualifications

• Experience in light commercial property maintenance, warehousing, or facilities support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drywall.
• Log safety checks and ensure local compliance; assist with NFPA 25 procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized facility and manage waste/recycling operations.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and site visits, documenting activities.
• Inspect building envelope for hazards and propose process improvements.
• Oversee janitorial tasks and general facility upkeep.

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Facilities Maintenance Associate to support the day-to-day operations, physical upkeep (including janitorial), operations standup, and safety compliance of our facility in Greenfield, IN. The ideal candidate will have experience with general building maintenance, basic troubleshooting of mechanical/plumbing/electrical systems, and the installation of new workstations & workflows. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and a strict commitment to workplace safety and local code compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Execute daily facility maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and drywall/structural repairs.
• Compliance & Safety: Perform and log mandatory safety and utility checks, including the monthly electric fire pump operational "run tests" to ensure strict local fire marshal and NFPA 25 compliance.
• Space & Inventory Coordination: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized physical environment. Help organize materials, coordinate waste/recycling management, and assist with spatial layout transitions.
• Vendor & Contractor Support: Coordinate with, escort, and document visits from external commercial mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection contractors.
• Problem-Solving & Safety Auditing: Routinely inspect the building envelope, identify safety hazards or operational inefficiencies, and implement process/facility improvements.
• Facility Upkeep: Ensure building facilities are in top-shape for our employees and visitors through waste management, inspections, and janitorial services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Aptitude: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a passion for multi-trade hands-on work and physical problem-solving.
• Detail-Oriented Log-Keeper: High attention to detail with the ability to systematically maintain and organize physical compliance folders for municipal inspectors.
• Relevant Experience: Previous experience in light commercial property maintenance, building trades, warehousing, or facilities support is highly preferred.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage unpredictable facility work orders alongside recurring compliance testing schedules.
• Physical Demands: Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, move heavy equipment, and work comfortably in mechanical/utility rooms as required.
