Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. is seeking interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors for a large-scale DoD facility condition assessment program across the United States. The role requires knowledge of building systems, experience with facility assessment software, and ability to travel extensively.

Reports to a Stantec office with potential for remote/hybrid work. Candidates should have experience in mechanical, electrical, shell, or structural elements, and be capable of documenting conditions using

Qualifications

Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building and mechanical systems
5 years of experience preferred
Travel ability of 50% or more
Position requires a drug screen
Must have valid driver's license with good driving record
Knowledge of ASTM UNIFORMAT II is advantageous

Responsibilities

Conduct an inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II
Perform assessments of facilities to determine physical condition and conformance with specs and codes
Experience using facility condition assessment software including BUILDER SMS; training provided
Document mechanical/electrical equipment and subcomponents with tablets and provide justification for condition
Work under supervision following standard practices
Inspect large complexes and climb ladders as needed to assess building elements
