Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a capable Healthcare Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of Chattanooga and Cleveland behavioral health clinics, provide strong leadership, and reinforce our mission.

You will manage hiring, scheduling, budgets, policy development, regulatory compliance (HIPAA/OSHA), data-driven service improvements, and collaboration with clinicians and community partners to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing a healthcare setting or behavioral health clinic
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Chattanooga and Cleveland behavioral health clinics
  • Provide positive leadership and reinforce workplace cultural values supporting the MHC mission
  • Manage hiring, scheduling, workflow, and administrative tasks
  • Supervise clinical, care management, support, and clinic operations staff
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, HIPAA, accreditation, OSHA, and safety requirements
  • Develop and implement clinic policies and procedures
  • Oversee clinical caseload management, audit reviews, no-show management, and utilization management
  • Monitor clinic budgets and expenses and identify cost-effectiveness improvements
  • Ensure clinic facilities, equipment, and maintenance needs are met
  • Liaise between medical staff and administrative teams to achieve KPIs
  • Address patient concerns, feedback, reviews, and investigations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and foster professional development
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and use data to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and external networks to implement behavioral health programs and services
  • Monitor service effectiveness and make data-driven improvements
  • Optimize resource allocation
  • Deliver patient-centered care through evidence-based practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and individualized treatment plans
  • Analyze patient satisfaction feedback and implement service improvements
  • Manage risk assessments and safety protocols
  • Build relationships with community partners and support business development initiatives
  • Report unethical or unsafe activities and accidents through appropriate channels
  • Participate in proactive team efforts and perform other assigned duties

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of cumulative experience and 3 years of cumulative leadership experience required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing a healthcare setting or behavioral health clinic
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License
