The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Administrative Officer I at Lincoln Correctional Center in Lincolnton, NC. The role leads the facility's administrative operations, budget, procurement, inventory, and support services to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

You will supervise office staff, enforce policies, prepare operating budgets, coordinate with custody and programs, and participate in facility leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversees all facility administrative operations including budget, business office functions, procurement, inventory, and support services.
• Supervises administrative and support staff; assigns work, conducts performance evaluations, and ensures staff are trained on applicable policies.
• Implements and monitors administrative policies and procedures per NCDAC guidelines and state regulations.
• Prepares, administers, and monitors the facility’s operating budget with proper fiscal management and reporting.
• Ensures compliance with internal audits, policy standards, and regulatory requirements; implements corrective actions as needed.
• Serves on the facility management team, advising on administrative, financial, and operational matters.
• Coordinates administrative support with custody and programs staff to maintain continuous facility operations.
• Reviews and evaluates administrative processes to identify inefficiencies.
