Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a security guard at the Rochelle, IL facility to manage access control and gate operations for all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. You will verify credentials, document arrivals and departures, and monitor for unauthorized access to the yard and buildings.

The role requires attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Overtime or Saturdays may be required as needed; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand directions.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guard the entrance of the facility and grounds to control traffic to and from buildings and grounds.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Open gates to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, and authorized visitors.
• Check credentials or approved roster before admitting anyone through the gates.
• Direct visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings.
• Inspect outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or product.
• Data entry to record number of trucks, work orders or other carriers entering or leaving facility.
• Input data into system and write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
