Job summary

Americold in Rochelle, IL is seeking a proactive operations technician for our automated warehouse to monitor production processes, ensure accurate throughput, and minimize downtime. You will work to optimize product flow and assist with improvement plans across the control systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in an automated warehouse facility.
Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and experience with WMS software features required.
Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and process issues.
Experience with PLC programming and conveyor control systems required.

Responsibilities

Provide general production support for automated warehouse operations.
Virtually monitor warehouse processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time completion.
Ensure optimal product flow to meet operational throughput requirements.
Monitor system downtime and implement improvement plans to reduce downtime.
Maximize use of system capacity by identifying and mitigating systematic bottlenecks.
Participate in troubleshooting events and conduct root cause analysis for control system-related issues.
Collaborate with the control team to develop best practices for increased productivity in automated warehouse operations.
Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
