Job summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking 3 Part-time Facilities Workers at the Prestonsburg Campus. Shifts run 9:00-1:00 and 2:00-6:00, with 25 hours per week and on-site work at BSCTC - Prestonsburg Campus.

Responsibilities include groundskeeping, equipment maintenance, event setup, custodial tasks, and light campus maintenance. Hip-to-date safety practices and willingness to travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and landscaping, including mowing, edging, planting, and snow removal.
• Operates and maintains grounds equipment; orders supplies as needed.
• Performs room setup for events and moves furniture/equipment as required.
• Cleans and performs custodial tasks as needed, including trash disposal and floor maintenance.
• Assists with routine campus maintenance and may travel to other campuses or shifts.

Job Summary

Job Duties

• Maintains grounds to insure the proper time to care for plants, water, reseeds all landscape and grounds plantings such as grass, trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Maintains related landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Mows, weed- eats/edges, and removes snow utilizing mowing machines and other equipment.
• Order and pick up supplies as needed.
• Performs room set-up for events, assembles and delivers furniture, and moves and/or hauls equipment/furniture as needed.
• Includes custodial work as needed such as cleaning, disinfecting, floor maintenance, and trash disposal.
• Assists with routine maintenance on campus.
• May have to travel to assist at other campuses or work other shifts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

1 to 2 years Experience Preferred.
