The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Facility/Utilities Technician for our McCalla, AL site. This role operates and maintains steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, wastewater treatment, and related utilities, with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, the ability to read safety rules and GMPs, and strong communication. The role requires safety consciousness, data logging, and teamwork across multiple disciplines.

The Facility/Utilities Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the site utility systems which include: steam boilers, thermal oxidizer, compressed air, ammonia and glycol refrigeration, building HVAC, wastewater treatment, and the general facility. This role is also responsible for maintaining both equipment and written logs to comply with local and federal governmental requirements for OSHA and EPA.
