Job summary

freshexpress in Georgia seeks a Utilities Supervisor to oversee and perform skilled work maintaining and repairing utilities equipment and building systems. You will lead a team including Facilities Mechanics and Refrigeration Technicians, ensuring 24/7 support for plant operations and coordination with outside contractors.

You will manage PM tasks, enforce safety, GMP and food safety programs, and drive cost-efficient operation while maintaining the plant's safety, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, facilities, utilities or maintenance.
• 3-4 years supervisory experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Mechanical skills and electrical troubleshooting.
• RETA certification as ammonia operating engineer is a plus; ammonia refrigeration knowledge required.
• MS Word, Outlook and Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Compliance to SOPs, GMPs, housekeeping, Safety and all FE policies.
• Lead Facilities Mechanics, maintain and repair plant building, grounds and landscaping.
• Supervise carpentry, electrical, paint, plumbing and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks.
• Supervise concrete, tile, drywall, thermo panels, windows and doors work.
• Lead Facilities Mechanics, maintain and repair drains, toilets, urinals and sinks.
• Lead Facilities mechanics in all hazardous materials disposal.
• Basic electricity 120v-240v (switches, lights, fixtures and outlets).
• Lead Facilities Mechanics, maintain and repair forklifts.
• Perform inspections and repairs on eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, ceiling, spill kits, and hand wash areas.
• Lead Facilities Mechanics, maintain and repair dock levelers, dock seals, docks shelters and overhead doors.
• Lead Facilities mechanics in maintaining infrastructure needed to support Production and other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
