Job summary

Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL seeks a Customer Service Coordinator for Facilities and Transportation. This role is the initial contact for work requests and field trips, coordinating with drivers, vehicles, and vendors to ensure timely action.

You will maintain records, inform customers of statuses, and help resolve issues while upholding OCPS standards. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required; prior call-center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
• Serves as the initial service contact point for OCPS Facility and Environmental Services.
• Serves as the initial contact point for all school based initiated field trip requests.
• Communicates daily with Principals, Managers, School Secretary or Bookkeeper, Outside Organizations and Vendors regarding field trips.
• Initiates the facility maintenance work request/work order process.
• Initiates the assignment of drivers and equipment that most effectively and efficiently meets the field trip requests.
• Starts the process for new work and maintains detailed records of calls regarding operations and transportation issues.
• Coordinates substitute coverage due to absenteeism and with the Communications Center.
• Assists in investigating, documenting and responding to routine complaints.
• Maintains knowledge of current statutes, policies and procedures and monitors adherence to guidelines.
• Assesses scope of service requests and urgency, responding in a timely, efficient manner.
• Informs management of potential problems and coordinates emergency responses as needed.
• Keeps up to date on technology used by OCPS and seeks training as required.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
