Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking a seasoned Project/Change Manager to lead complex transformation programs in a large, distributed organization. This full-time in-office role is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

You will plan, organize, and drive initiatives from initiation through completion, partner with stakeholders, manage budgets and risks, and report on progress to leadership. A Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years in project/change management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5–8 years of project/change management in a large distributed org (5,000+ employees).
• 5–8 years of progressive project management and business transformation experience.
• Strong understanding of Change Management theory and implementation.
• Experience in strategic planning and risk management.
• Proficiency with project management software tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, monitor, and manage all phases of complex transformation and operational projects from initiation through completion.
• Lead projects through discovery, business case development, budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder approvals, execution, and operational turnover.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, status reports, and executive communications.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, project sponsors, business leaders, service providers, and external partners.
