Job summary
SSC Services For Education is hiring immediately for full-time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN positions at Johnson C Smith University in Charlotte, NC. The role requires prior general maintenance experience and licenses for skilled trades are welcome.

Qualifications
- Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
- Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
- Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions.
- Construct, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities.
- Inspect and service HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
- Supervise and lead a group of workers on projects.
- Read and follow complex written instructions and communicate clearly with the team.
