SSC Services for Education, part of Compass Group, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance tasks across educational facilities, lead junior staff, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Role covers electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and related systems with training and licensing requirements. Openings include full-time and part-time schedules; prior maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsabilités

• Decide on normal and complex repairs; report major problems to supervisor and foreman.
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities with appropriate tools.
• Service HVAC and other building systems, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Lead and supervise a team on projects; review work and create punch lists.
• Record and communicate instructions clearly in writing and verbally.
• Coach others in advanced maintenance skills; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Maintain logs, conduct rounds, and complete work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Recommend modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems.
• Serve on facility emergency response team and perform other duties as assigned.
